Imagine you were headed outside one day, ready to spend time in the sun when all of a sudden it started raining. You immediately become upset and ran back inside afraid to get wet. You thought you’d just wait for another day.
Now imagine you had been in a hospital bed for months and had one last chance to go outside. You walk out and feel the rain drops hit your skin, and instead of running back inside you smile and run through the rain. You enjoy it, you are thankful. The weather isn’t perfect, but to you it is.
We must begin to live as if we could die at any moment… we must learn to appreciate what we have even if the conditions are not “perfect”. We aren’t always going to have another day.
